The International

World Class Apartment Living

Auckland is finally ready for a project of international quality and design. With its origins as one of the city’s finest hotels and a long history of hospitality, The International is located on one of the central city’s finest streets, surrounded by century-old parks and trees. There are panoramic views from every corner, generous living spaces and high-level security.

Until now, there has not been an apartment building in New Zealand that rivalled the best houses in the country for exceptional design and superb finishes. No expense has been spared in the construction of these apartments, which have been designed to stand the test of time using the highest- quality materials and fittings in an architecturally iconic building.
These are apartments for those who are not used to compromise. They act as the perfect backdrop for a life well lived, and for the collections of a lifetime be that art, furniture or wine. They are apartments designed for entertaining family and friends, outside on generous opening conservatories or inside in high-ceilinged spaces that feel more like a beautifully designed house than a simple apartment. And, for peace of mind, the building is currently assessed at 310 percent of the new building standard seismic rating.

With a long track record of delivering quality projects across the city, Sanctuary Group is proud to set a new standard for apartment living in Auckland.

You’ll find The International at 9 Princes Street, on a site running through to the very intimate Bankside Street. The area is an inner-city jewel, with heritage buildings, established trees and a sense of calm, a slight remove from the commerce of Queen Street and the rest of the Central Business District. The original administrative and political heart of Auckland, the grounds of Old Government House and Albert Park, two of the city’s most beautiful green spaces, are just metres away across Waterloo Quadrant, with century- old trees and walking paths, an aspect that is unmatched within the CBD.

The immediate area is an established residential precinct filled by heritage buildings with some of the highest residential resale values of any area in the central city. The five-star Pullman Hotel & Spa is directly across the street, and the prestigious Northern Club is right next door. It is two blocks to High Street, three blocks to Queen Street and a short, flat stroll – via the public-access lifts of the Lumley Centre – to Britomart. The arts precinct of Auckland – including the Auckland Art Gallery and multiple dealer galleries – is a brief walk in the other direction. Yet, despite all this amenity the area is unusually quiet, thanks to the large number of residential apartment buildings and heritage parks.
Access to the rest of the city is easy, with motorway access close by, as well as the downtown Ferry Terminal and the Britomart Transport Centre.
